Mike Brown, President

One of FPH Construction’s 1983 co-founders.

Mike has played a pivotal role in constructing and developing numerous commercial buildings across Kitsap County, in addition to successfully completing a variety of tenant improvement projects. A proud resident of Kitsap County since 1978, Mike has actively contributed to the community, having served as the past president of the Kitsap Homebuilders Association. He has also held positions as a state and national director for the association and has been deeply involved with the Affordable Housing Council and the Leadership Council of the Kitsap Foundation.

Aside from his community involvement, Mike has provided consulting services to both private and public sectors, focusing on land use, entitlement, and real estate disposition, notably for organizations like the Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Mike was honored with the Thunderbird Award for Business by the Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce in 2008. He continues to be actively engaged in philanthropic efforts, serving on the board of Ameritrust CDC and supporting initiatives such as the YWCA Alive Shelter and the Kitsap Foundation.

 

 

Kerry Chamberlin, Senior Vice President

Kerry has been rooted in Kitsap County since 1976, accumulating over four decades of experience in the local construction industry. Leading his own construction company as President for 16 years underscores his deep expertise and commitment.

During his nine-year tenure on the board of directors for the Building Association, where he also served as a State and National Director, Kerry’s impactful contributions were widely acknowledged. His presidency at the Kitsap Homebuilders Association in 1997 was marked by his recognition as Builder of the Year, further affirming his dedication to advancing the industry.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Kerry has been actively engaged in numerous volunteer projects, including Christmas in April, Build a Better Kitsap, Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish Projects, Boys and Girls Club Building, and the Veterans Memorial in Silverdale.

With a rich history of managing and executing projects across Kitsap County, Kerry’s collaborative approach with clients and architects has consistently yielded fulfilling outcomes, aligning with their aspirations for new constructions.

 

 

Jason Sousie, Project Manager / Estimator

With over two decades of experience in the construction industry, Jason has served in various capacities    including as an Owners Representative, Estimator, Project Manager, Superintendent, Quality Control Officer, and Site Safety Officer.

Bringing a wealth of expertise to his role at FPH Construction, Jason joined the team in 2021 after                accumulating 21 years of experience in estimating and oversight. His portfolio includes projects ranging from $100,000 to $15 million across both public and private sectors.

Jason is known for his adeptness in handling complex assignments, ensuring organization and effective    management regardless of the number of subcontractors or sites involved. He has worked extensively on conceptual and plan estimating, overseeing a diverse range of projects including tenant improvements,      environmental projects, civic infrastructure, and new commercial construction.

Certified in various areas including DBIA, LEED Green Associate, USACE Construction Quality Management, and OSHA 30, Jason also holds expertise as a P6 Primavera trained scheduler and a certified erosion and   sediment control lead.

Throughout his career, Jason has successfully managed and built projects across Western Washington and Alaska. His passion lies in collaborating with teams to bring projects to fruition, demonstrating his             commitment to excellence in every endeavor.

 

Hope Pruitt, Project Coordinator

From 2012 to 2013, Hope served as the project coordinator for FPH. Rejoining the FPH team with joy in September 2022, her responsibilities include overseeing construction permitting, scheduling, and communication. Acting as a crucial link to the project management team, she manages bids, subcontracting, progress tracking, addressing delays, estimating, scheduling, and procurement of materials. Hope is dedicated to fostering strong relationships with the FPH team, project sponsors, senior managers, shareholders/customers, fellow project team members and managers, external agencies, and vendors. Her primary objective is to ensure the seamless operation of the project and all associated processes. Coordination of activities, resources, equipment, and information is often required to support the project team effectively.

Kate Shelton, Bookkeeper

Kate Shelton has been a part of FPH since 2023, following her tenure as a local bookkeeper and advertising specialist since 2008. With a wide-ranging skill set encompassing bookkeeping, IT, computer proficiency, design, and advertising expertise, Kate is a valuable addition to the team. She is dedicated to enhancing the company’s performance and approaches challenges with poise and determination.
